Identify
Historians will identify resources that might meet the criteria of the National Register of Historic Places. Our surveyors will be examining structures built in or before 1985.

Inventory
Historians will use an electronic field application to record information on each resource. After gathering data they will assign ratings to each site. GPS locations and digital photographs will also be recorded.

Criteria
Historians assess properties in terms of their historical significance, architectural merit, environment, and integrity before verifying one of the rating categories.

Evaluate
Historians will evaluate each resource’s significance by applying the National Register criteria.
